Forest Therapy combines mindfulness techniques and the therapeutic powers of being in the natural environment. Your forest therapy guide will take you on a journey to connect with your inner and outer nature through mindfulness, sensory exploration and slow movement. Being in nature provides therapeutic benefits and research has proven that it reduces stress.
The group will gather in the parklands at Kings Park, one of the worldโs largest and most beautiful inner-city parks. Kings Park is a place of peacefulness and relaxation.
We will commence with some gentle movement to prepare for a slow and gentle walk. You will be guided to engage your senses and tune it to the rhythms of nature using mindfulness meditation and gifts from nature.
Then, we will wander along the trails on a slow and gentle walk. The trails wind through protected bushland which provides a haven for native flora and fauna. The walk length is approximately 1.5km. Along the trail, your guide will offer you opportunities to experience a deeper connection with self and nature through a series of complimentary activities. Allowing you time to be still, to notice and to listen.
