Monique knows her stuff! I emailed Monique at short notice as I had heard great things about her foodie discovery tour and couldn't find any availability online. She got back to me quickly and booked me onto a tour later that week. The tour provided a great balance between tasting some delicious food and drink, and sharing local knowledge about the beautiful city of Melbourne. Had the best time with a small group of liked minded visitors to Melbourne led by the engaging Monique. With a touch of fascinating history of early Melbourne sites, tastes of true coffee, chocolate and gelato and interspersed with the best dumplings and bao mi, we experienced a thoroughly enjoyable walking lane tour. Monique had such a wealth of knowledge about Melbourne and her selections for macarons, coffee, gelato, chocolate, banh mi, dumplings, and cocktails were diverse and top notch. A truly wonderful way to experience one of the more unique cities of the world. If I were to use one word to describe Monique’s tour, I’d have to borrow an Australian colloquialism: LEGEND!

Monique took us on a tour that was so much more than I was expecting! It was a history lesson, as well as an introduction to Melbourne architecture, iconic events, and the influential people who helped grow this beautiful city. As for the food and drinks…there is plenty, it’s all delicious, and you are taken on a journey with each stop providing its own fascinating story. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough, a wonderful introduction to what Melbourne has to offer.

Tour is a mixture of indoors and outdoors, bring an umbrella if it is raining.
Distance to walk: 1.5km / 1mi
Start time: Monday - Saturday at 1:30 PM, or by request
Latecomers: Our guides use every method possible to meet our guests at the meeting place at the allocated time. We can wait up to 10 minutes after the scheduled start time for latecomers. After that time, and as a respect to the rest of the group, the guide will not check their phone and therefore cannot be contacted by latecomers.

We must abide by all restrictions and ‘house rules’ imposed by the venues we visit.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and rescheduling: Customers may reschedule up to 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling within 24 hours of the departure time will result in forfeit of tickets.

Weather conditions: Tours operate in most weather conditions. Tours do not operate in conditions of torrential rain and extreme heat. If the rain radar (http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR023.loop.shtml#skip) shows torrential rain (red bands of rain) approaching Melbourne CBD within 2 hours of the tour, every effort will be made to contact customers and reschedule or provide a refund. In conditions over 40 degrees, customers will be given the opportunity to reschedule or provide a refund.
