Kick back, relax and enjoy a delightful sightseeing cruise down the River Torrens on a stunning heritage boat. Boarding at Elder Park, you will float down the beautiful river in best seat in the house. We snake through the heart of the city and pass by famed attractions like the Adelaide Festival Centre, SAHMRI, and Adelaide Gaol.
Admire the ever-changing landscapes that line the waterways as you listen to live commentary by your local guide about the history of the area. Take the option to disembark near the end of the cruise if you choose and see Adelaide Zoo and the Botanic Gardens along the way.
Whatever you choose, there's plenty of time to take photos and soak up the relaxing atmosphere of this humble city.

Wheelchair access: Popeye unfortunately does not have ramp access. There are two steps up and a further four steps down into Popeye. There is a handrail to the left side and a skipper and deckhand who will always offer to assist. Most wheelchairs can fit through Popeye’s entrance. There is room at the rear of the Popeye to store walkers, wheelchairs & prams.
Disabled parking: There is disabled parking available in Adelaide City.
Hearing Impaired. If you would like a transcript of our commentary for a booked tour please email us and ask for hard copies to be ready for you on the day.
Toilets: Popeye does not have toilets on board however there are public toilets located in Elder Park on Festival Drive, just under the Festival Centre.
Weather
If there are unfit weather conditions to cruise (winds over 60km/h and/or temperatures over 38 degrees) you will be notified by our office staff at any time leading up to the cruise. We aim to give us much notice as possible.
Alcohol
Popeye reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to intoxicated passengers.
The bar may be closed at any point due to intoxicated behaviour.

3 months agoI was very pleased with the service. My partner and I have enjoyed the river trip with the interesting, and sometimes funny, anecdotes of the lovely gentleman that entertained us. There is alcohol (wine, prosecco and much more), snacks and cake available on board. Staff members have been very proactive, helpful when needed and smiley. I have been told they also offer other events on board, on special occasions. Their website is well some and regularly updated so keep an eye for events to come. I highly recommend River Torrens Popeye Cruise if you are visiting Adelaide.

4 months agoWhat a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. High tea with home made hot food. All the fair was top notch. Bubbles were good too. The views from river are beautiful.
