Absolutely the best fishing experience, the tour with Michael was worth it. Learnt lots of new things. The fishing was so fun! The fish was so strong which is the best feeling when you pull out the fish. The staff members were so kind and helpful, thank you.

My children and I had an incredible experience! The staff were exceptionally helpful and shared a wealth of knowledge about barramundi. The food was both fresh and delicious. What an amazing experience! We had the best time, absolutely worthwhile! The team at hook-a-Barra were sensational - we were looked after by Amos who really made our time there great, he took the time to explain everything to us and even hooked a fish and gave the rod to me when it looked like I wasn’t going to catch anything! I’m sure the rest of the team are just as wonderful as Amos is. Great experience, absolutely recommend!!

My husband and I had a fantastic time at the hook a barra farm! Catching a barramundi was a highlight, and the burger we had was incredibly tasty. The staff was friendly and made the experience enjoyable. Highly recommended!

It is recommended you wear a hat and long-sleeved sun shirt, with appropriate sun protection. Comfortable walking shoes are also recommended.
Our passionate and knowledgeable crew provide guidance and tuition on all our equipment.
There is the option to take your catch home, but this is charged above and beyond the tour price. We charge $17.50 per kilo and can provide ice and eskis to take your fish home. Ask us about some delicious fresh fillets and recipe cards.
There is a viewing tank, where you can see some of our rare Speckled (Panda), Albino and Golden Barramundi – as a part of your tour, our crew will demonstrate their feeding techniques here.

Cancellation Policy

If your cancellation is at least 24 hours in advance of your fishing session or tour, you will receive a full refund.
If your cancellation is less than 24 hours in advance, you will receive a gift card to attend a future session.
