Join us on an unforgettable journey to the volcanic crater lakes in the Atherton Tablelands rainforest for your SSI Level 2 Freediving Course. Over two days, you'll receive extensive training from our experienced instructors on the essential freediving techniques and safety procedures necessary to dive up to 30 meters.
The first day of the course will be spent in the classroom and in the water, where you'll learn about the physics and physiology of freediving, proper breathing techniques, relaxation, and safety protocols. You'll also practice static apnea, a technique for holding your breath while stationary, to develop your lung capacity and control.
On the second day, we'll venture out to Lake Eacham, a stunning volcanic crater lake in the heart of the rainforest, to apply your new skills. You'll practice dynamic apnea, swimming horizontally through the water while holding your breath, and descend to depths of up to 30 meters using pull-down and equalization techniques. Our experienced instructors will be with you every step of the way to ensure your safety and comfort.
After the successful completion of your dives, you'll be awarded your SSI Level 2 Freediving certification, a testament to your newly acquired skills and knowledge. a month agoSara was the most incredible photographer for my 2 day trip on the reef and captured stunning pictures of my dives with fantastic angles and was super helpful transferring the pictures she took and the pictures I took on the GoPro I rented to my phone using a usc memory stick to preserve the quality.

If you’re looking to get some truly epic, professional photos of your trip, definitely book to see the reef with one of the boats with Scubabo photographers! (Reef Encounter or Reef Experience) Kozel took incredible photos of our group and the reef, and edited them and we had them on our iPhones before departing the boat!

2 weeks agoGreat Course, Shiv was an excellent teacher, patient and kind. He really celebrated your wins however small and was super knowledgeable. Morning stretch was not included/run through but all other course inclusions for Level 1 was met. Great location and beautiful drive. Flexible with pick up and drop off. Overall well run and I got a lot out of it.
