At Lazy Paddles we believe the best way to experience nature is up close from a kayak. Escape the everyday on our half-day Myall Lakes Escape Tour in the beautiful Myall Lakes National Park.
Explore one of the largest coastal lake systems in Australia while paddling one of our stable and comfortable touring kayaks. Paddle past abundant bird-life and experience the natural beauty of the lakes, mountains and forests. Learn about the history of the area and enjoy a delicious locally-sourced morning tea.
All equipment is provided and you’ll be accompanied by one of our friendly, local kayak guides.
What to bring:
Free parking is available in the library carpark across the road from Anzac Park. The carpark closest to the bridge is reserved for cars with trailers.
More than 24 hours notice: bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled. Customers receive a full refund including booking fee if cancelled.
Less than 24 hours notice: no refund for cancellation, but the booking may be rescheduled.
No shows: no refund or reschedule.
Lazy Paddles reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any tour or hire due to adverse weather conditions, minimum participant numbers not being met, or any other unforeseen circumstances. Tours or hires cancelled by Lazy Paddles can either be rescheduled or fully refunded (including booking fees).
Lazy Paddles tours require at least 2 participants to be able to run. If you have booked for 1 person your tour may be cancelled if there are no other participants. Lazy Paddles will contact you if the tour is cancelled.

3 weeks agoDarren was great! As seasoned paddles, we wanted to hire a few boats over the Easter long weekend. He opened up early so we could pick them up and even collected them from the Myall Lake River Camp where we were staying. The boats were clean and well maintained. We had a blast on the river - so beautiful.

4 months agoWhat an incredible experience! We had a spectacular morning exploring the lakes system near tea gardens. Darren is knowledgeable, friendly and an awesome guide. It was the perfect family experience. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the sights and sounds and the beautiful environment. The paddling was easy and the kayaks were great. Morning tea was a fantastic inclusion and a great way to pause before coming back. It was the best kayaking experience I’ve had- and I’ve done a few! It really felt like Darren enjoyed being out on the water and sharing his knowledge, which made the whole experience even better. Thanks for an amazing morning- we all had a great time.

in the last weekWe had a great outing as first time paddles on the river. Darren was a great combination of patient, cheerful and knowledgeable. We managed to spot some wildlife, see some shipwrecks and have plenty of laughs. 4 months agoMy partner and I went on the Myall River Discovery Tour and cannot recommend the experience enough. We had not kayaked recently and so our guide, Darren, taught us the basics and provided us with good tips. During the journey, we were faced with challenges of winds and rising tide but it was relaxing and mostly easy. Throughout, Darren showed his extensive knowledge about the flora, fauna and shipwrecks. We were even able to see a unique experience of two sea eagles preying on another bird. Darren was very accommodating, providing light refreshments and taking pictures of us which we received later. Thank you for the amazing morning and I encourage others to try this experience.
