Discover the sweet secrets of Melbourne! Suzie’s father was a closet chocoholic who introduced her to the delights and health benefits of chocolate. He was known to never share his spoils but would occasionally let Suzie sample the wonders of a dark chocolate almond. As an inquisitive child growing up in Melbourne, she wondered what secrets chocolate really held? It was during work experience at the Melbourne Convention and Marketing Bureau that Suzie realized the opportunity to combine her joint passions of chocolate and Melbourne. In the years Amanda has been leading chocolate walking tours around Melbourne she has loved educating fellow chocoholics about the true value of high quality chocolate and savouring the experiences that we offer on the tours. Added to that is the opportunity to share the unique history of Melbourne’s lanes and arcades. Over the years, along with our team of highly experienced, passionate, local chocolate walking tour guides, Amanda has gotten to know the store owners and managers of some of Melbourne’s best chocolateries and we love to share their stories with our guests. This tour isn't just tasting chocolate, it's learning about the history of chocolate in Melbourne along with an insight into the hidden gems this beautiful city has to offer. We're from SE Melbourne and loved being tourists in our town for a day. Worth every penny. Thank you.

a week agoI am from the northern suburbs of Melbourne and I loved seeing stores I've not heard of. Yes the general areas of the arcades, we know but hearing the stories behind the businesses and tasting amazing chocolate was wonderful. Ivan gave us a bit of a history tour too so it was interesting to hear about what went on in different parts of Melbourne back in the day. Ivan is a very engaging guide. None of the businesses I had ever been to before so it was wonderful being a tourist for the day. I may even have been converted to liking dark chocolate 😉. Thanks Ivan, a wonderful ambassador for Melbourne. Picture is my first try of chocolate dumplings!

3 months agoWe had a wonderful day walking through Melbourne with Emily. Never would have found some of the venues without the tour guidance and everything was very personal, private, and enjoyable. Vendors gave discounts and were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour to to anyone in Melbourne that enjoys chocolate and seeing things from a “behind the curtain” kind of approach. Additionally, the tour was very affordable for what you got (5 stops at 5 different vendor locations). Walked away full but everything was just a delicious little sample.

2 months agoI took a Lanes and Arcades Chocolate and Dessert Walking Tour while I was in town to catch a show; it was a great way to spend the day. Our tour guide, Ivan, was friendly and had plenty of interesting tid-bits regarding Melbourne's history to say as we walked around, and his chocolate suggestions were on point! It was fun. It was delicious.
