Hello! We are Air Kimberley
About

A new name and a new look with a continued commitment to provide safe and reliable air services to Australia's Northwest, welcome to Air Kimberley! Air Kimberley first took to the Kimberley skies back in 1992 as King Leopold Air, a small charter company based on a pastoral station close to its namesake – the spectacular King Leopold Ranges. With the renaming of the King Leopold Ranges in 2020 to the Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges, the name no longer reflected the values of the business and Air Kimberley was born. Air Kimberley operates remote air services and unforgettable scenic adventure flights exploring Australia's Northwest. Air Kimberley has been flying the skies of Western Australia for 30 years. At Air Kimberley, we are passionate about Aviation, Sustainable Tourism and supporting our Indigenous tour partners and local communities. Our passion is to connect people to the Kimberley through unforgettable experiences, to increase cultural awareness, to promote sustainable tourism and to share the amazing landscape through knowledge, excellence, and safety. Experienced pilots are additionally trained as tour guides and provide a comprehensive and informative insight into the stunning Kimberley landscape. Each passenger has a window seat and a personal headset to listen to the pilot’s commentary. Pilots circle landmarks of interest throughout the tours to ensure maximum photo opportunities! At Air Kimberley, we have the expertise and local knowledge to provide valuable assistance in charter requirements, itinerary and tour planning throughout the Kimberley and Australia’s Northwest. Air Kimberley has its Head Office at Broome International Airport. Bookings and enquiries can be made on our website, via email or by telephone, or drop into our brand-new facilities and Air Kimberley Terminal at 7 Gus Winckel Rd, Broome International Airport.

Went on a day tour out to the vertical waterfall and across to Cynget Bay - it was amazing. The pilot Tom who was also the tour guide was brilliant, he provided information through out the flight. The lunch provided was so good, and then coming back to Broome, being welcomed with cold face towels and ice tea - a perfect touch to a perfect day out. Nothing could of been done to make the experience better, it was perfect

We chose this excursion for my husband's 70th birthday. This is a great experience to discover this wild part of Australia by plane. we had a very good lunch and the history of the pearl oyster was fascinating.

The Cathedral Gorge was absolutely breathtaking and the highlight of our trip. Our pilot Chris was very knowledgeable and friendly. He pointed out all the important sites and gave us history of the areas while up in the air. Once on the ground LJ, our guide was amazing too. He mixed humour and storytelling together beautifully and really looked after us throughout the walk. I would highly recommend if going in the hotter months to wear light long sleeved tops and a wide brimmed hat. The sun on the walk is brutal and relentless with little shade. Thank you to Air Kimberley for an amazing trip. We were always looked after above and beyond.

Spectacular day spent exploring Mitchell Falls on the full day tour. Our pilot Will was awesome. Very knowledgeable and very professional. We started the day watching the sun rise from the air over the Kimberleys. Met by our Aboriginal guide LT at the Falls we enjoyed a cup of tea and damper while we took in the view. The helicopter ride was brilliant and I enjoyed the trek through the Kimberleys , learning from LT all about the rock art and culture. The flight home over the Horizontal Falls, Cape Leceque and Cable Beach was memorising. A very big thank you to Will and Air Kimberley Tours for this bucket moment experience. Kathryn

We did the horizontal fall and cygnet bay pearl farm tour and it was great!! CHRIS was a very good pilot and handled the take-off and landing in windy condition with grace. He also offered to take photos for us and nothing is too much trouble. Cold Matso gigner beer and popcorn on our way back - what a nice surprise and just fantastic customer service. Cold towel and ice tea on landing was a really nice touch. The only thing (very minor) was the internal of the plane could really do some renovation / upgrade. Other than that it was fantastic. Tip: tour time may change due to weather condition so do not book in anything else on the day.
