Departing Broome, we track North across King Sound, home to Australia's largest tides, fly over Walcott Inlet, the rarely seen Harding Range, and the Prince Regent River, before landing at Mitchell Plateau airstrip.
*** The 4km walk from Punamii-unpuu camp site to the Mitchell Falls will be the highlight of your visit, we allow 2 hours to complete the hike. The terrain on this walking trail can be difficult and requires a high level of fitness. Care should be taken due to uneven surfaces, water crossings, cliffs and gorges. Please also note that should the Mitchell Falls cease to flow we may suspend the remainder of the Mitchell Falls tour season schedule. The Horizontal Waterfalls is a natural phenomenon which is tide dependant with variable flow. We cannot guarantee the amount or level of water flowing through the Horizontal Waterfalls when overflying due to the structured tour schedule.

a month agoWe chose this excursion for my husband's 70th birthday. This is a great experience to discover this wild part of Australia by plane. we had a very good lunch and the history of the pearl oyster was fascinating.

6 months agoSpectacular day spent exploring Mitchell Falls on the full day tour. Our pilot Will was awesome. Very knowledgeable and very professional. We started the day watching the sun rise from the air over the Kimberleys. Met by our Aboriginal guide LT at the Falls we enjoyed a cup of tea and damper while we took in the view. The helicopter ride was brilliant and I enjoyed the trek through the Kimberleys , learning from LT all about the rock art and culture. The flight home over the Horizontal Falls, Cape Leceque and Cable Beach was memorising. A very big thank you to Will and Air Kimberley Tours for this bucket moment experience. Kathryn

a year agoThe Cathedral Gorge was absolutely breathtaking and the highlight of our trip. Our pilot Chris was very knowledgeable and friendly. He pointed out all the important sites and gave us history of the areas while up in the air. Once on the ground LJ, our guide was amazing too. He mixed humour and storytelling together beautifully and really looked after us throughout the walk. I would highly recommend if going in the hotter months to wear light long sleeved tops and a wide brimmed hat. The sun on the walk is brutal and relentless with little shade. Thank you to Air Kimberley for an amazing trip. We were always looked after above and beyond.

a year agoWe did cygnet tour today. It is a must for everyone travelling to Broome. Our pilot, SIMMI was amazing& very professional. Not only an amazing pilot but also was so informative giving us such an amazing tour. Definitely will come back. Never had such a smooth landing in a small plane. View is mesmerising and our pilot knew how to fly and all the manoeuvre was so fantastic. Thank you Air Kimberley for such a service 😊

a year agoWe did the horizontal fall and cygnet bay pearl farm tour and it was great!! CHRIS was a very good pilot and handled the take-off and landing in windy condition with grace. He also offered to take photos for us and nothing is too much trouble. Cold Matso gigner beer and popcorn on our way back - what a nice surprise and just fantastic customer service. Cold towel and ice tea on landing was a really nice touch. The only thing (very minor) was the internal of the plane could really do some renovation / upgrade. Other than that it was fantastic. Tip: tour time may change due to weather condition so do not book in anything else on the day.
