On route to Port Arthur, we will stop at Eaglehawk Neck’s Pirate Bay lookout and the Dog Line monument to soak up the scenery and have a photo opportunity or two! The next stop will have the mouths of sweet tooths watering as we visit the Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry. Following the chocolate factory, we will visit the beautiful Port Arthur Lavender Farm.
Explore the unique handmade products made from Tasmanian Lavender and take a stroll around the scenic lavender trail. Up next is the Port Arthur Historic Site. Immerse yourself in the fascinating, rich and dark history of the best-preserved penal settlement in Australia. Admission is at own cost and entry fee will include a 35-minute guided walking tour and a 20-minute harbour cruise.
If history is what you came for, enjoy the full 4 hours exploring the historic site. If you are up for one more experience, then you can hop back onboard the bus after 3 hours for a trip to the Remarkable Cave. Just a short 8-minute drive away, you will be greeted with the spectacular vista of Maingon Bay. At the lookout you can take in the exceptional views of Penguin Rocks and the bay. You can then descend down the 115 steps to view the Remarkable Cave from a viewing platform where you will be surrounded by ancient sandstone cliffs.
We will then return back to the historic site to pick up the remaining passengers and then return to Hobart at 5:30pm.

3 weeks agoWe had fantastic trip to Bruny Island with Tassie Tours!! The tour was smoothly run with our highly knowledgeable guide Jodi! She was an absolute legend! We will recommend this tour to our friends back in Adelaide and we can't wait to visit and join another tour in the future!

3 months agoTassie Tours! Just awesome full stop. Arrived in the wonderful city of Hobart yesterday on a cruise. Wanted to travel to Port Arthur and check it out, stepped off the ship and found this company. Super simple, great advice even gave a Veteran Discount. Our tour guide “Tilly” was amazing we went to other great places to and from Port Arthur. Thanks to Tilly, we are definitely inspired to come back in the near future with the camper and travel around Tasmanian. Wonderful place, down to earth. 100% recommend Tassie Tours.

4 months agoWe recently went on a cruise to Tassie and had stopovers at Burnie and Hobart. I rang Tassie Tours who were professional and provided a fantastic value for money tour on places we wanted to visit. Our first tour was to Sheffield and Cradle Mountain, Richard was our tour guide and bus commentary - he was passionate about Tassie and there was hardly a question he could not answer. He was also good at taking photographs of us which was very helpful! There was also a female guide with Richard who was great, sorry I forgot her name! Our second tour was of Hobart highlights - history of Hobart and many historic landmarks and lookouts, Mt Wellington and a stopover at Richmond where we had lunch and a shop. We even were able to sneak in a stop at Bonorong Animal Sanctuary where we could feed the kangaroos and I watched a baby wombat eating a carrot - it was the most magical experience as I love wombats. Our guide and bus driver was Mark. Mark was engaging and remembered all of our names - he also had a great sense of humour and was able to engage the bus in very interesting topics of conversation. Mark is well travelled and had a very wide knowledge of not only Tasmania but many other countries. I really enjoyed Mark and rate him highly as a tour guide and genuine person to talk with. I would recommend Tassie Tours to anyone and also to people on a cruise - they are good value for money and will not let you down. I am so grateful we chose them for our tours.

in the last weekWe did the Bruny Island Tour. Tour guide Andrew was awesome, his local knowledge great, he was very friendly and made us all feel welcome and included. So glad we took this tour, we would not have discovered half the Island on our own.

a month agoIf you want a memorable time when you visit Tasmania, then Tassie Tours is a must. We wanted to visit Bruny Island so chose Tassie Tours (Andrew) for the day trip from Hobart. Andrew was a brilliant host and ensured that we saw the best areas and venues around South Bruny, including The Neck Viewpoint, a lovely rainforest walk, the Bruny Hotel and the lighthouse. Well worth the time spent, and it was cheaper than we anticipated! Thoroughly enjoyed this small bus tour.
