Love gems? Love precious metal? Then you are going to love the Rockstar Rocks Stone setting​ in an Afternoon. You will learn how to design and fabricate a claw or bezel set ring using various metals ( silver & gold (9kt*))

You will learn the basics of designing, hammering, sawing, measuring, sizing, annealing, soldering, filing, and polishing the final piece to display to perfection your stone setting.

The basic stone setting techniques of using hand bezel setting tools, files, measuring, burnishing, finding the true shape of the stone to facilitate getting your desired result. It is so fantastic to show your friends what a fabulous stone you have set in just an afternoon.

Faceted-Amethyst, Blue Topaz, Natural Topaz, Citrine, Kunzite, Apatite, Aquamarine, Garnet. Cabochon-Moonstone, Labarodite, Aquamarine, Amethyst, Crystal, Rose Quartz, Lapis, Prehnite, are included as part of the workshop. I tend to prefer larger prominent stones, but am happy to use any suitable stone you may wish to reset. Small gems under 1/2 carat aren't advised as focal pieces, due to them not being distinctive enough to make a statement.

*9kt gold is included as part of the course. 14k or 18k is available but will have to be purchased based on the weight and the spot price on the day.
