Eat your way through Newtown like a local and check out amazing street art!
Newtown is a truly diverse neighbourhood, and on this experience, you’re going to see and taste a bit of everything. You’ll start at the iconic “I Have A Dream” mural on King St, where your host will give you a run-down on what makes Newtown so special.
You’ll then set off to sample some of Newtown’s multicultural cuisine, with 4 food stops along the way (all food included). Cuisine options include Egyptian, Turkish, Italian, Japanese, “Australian” and more! Vegetarians and vegans are sorted too – Newtown is famous for its many vegan-friendly restaurants. Your host will point out some of the neighbourhood’s best street art as you explore the area.
You’ll finish at a popular brewery for a shared tasting paddle or a glass of craft beer. Your host will point out several other restaurants if you’re still hungry, otherwise enjoy a drink with your fellow guests.
Start location: We meet at the iconic “I Have A Dream” mural at 301 King St.
End location: We finish at a craft brewery, just 5 minutes walk back to Newtown train station.

a month agoMichael was so knowledgeable and passionate about bout the area and his career. There were many interesting geographical topics brought up within our group and he was able to navigate each one with ease. It was important that I went on a tour that gave a history to all aspects of Sydney/Australia so I appreciated how he was able to incorporate a little of everything and customize the experience based on our audience.

3 months agoWe couldn't recommend this tour highly enough! Our guide, Justin, was so knowledgeable and really tailored the tour to what the group was interested in. It was such an amazing way to get a snapshot of the city, and he had great recommendations to help the rest of our visit. We loved the inclusion of both local Aboriginal and colonial history.

6 months agoThis tour is awesome and Justin our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and food savvy. He presented a great insight into Chinese settlement and culture in Australian including historical attitudes toward immigration. Justin also knows the best places to eat including four of his favourite places to eat. The food was very satisfying and a great way to spend w hours. 3 months agoI highly recommend the ultimate Sydney walking tour, whether it is your first time in Sydney or not. Justin is friendly, personable, super knowledgeable, and he delivered an outstanding experience. He covered relevant content at a comfortable pace. Not only did he discuss the early history of the city and country, but he somehow seamlessly tied it to what Sydney has to offer today… including its arts, architecture, social life, current events… We absolutely loved our time spent with Justin and learned a ton while having a wonderful walk throughout the city. Big time highlight of our visit to Sidney.

6 months agoWe enjoyed our Sydney Walking Tour with Justin. Booked a private tour because I am with 2-70 year old parents, Justin designed it in a way that is very relaxed and easy. We finished the 3 hour walk without feeling tired. Justin came very prepared, he was very knowledgeable of Sydney and its history. He also supports and introduces us to the local (Aborigines) and their business.
