You'll get expert guidance and throughout your workshop you'll be cutting your leather, marking out & chisel punching out all your stitching holes, setting hardware, waxing threads, making your straps, burnishing edges and finally bringing it all together by hand stitching using a traditional leather Saddle Stitch, a thread with a needle at each end.

The approximate dimensions are up to 38cms wide x 35cms tall (as seen in photo), or 40cms wide x 30cms tall for a wider bag shape. You can of course make your Tote bag smaller if preferred.

You'll be given a demo of the making processes, and encouraged to practice on leather off-cuts.

Note that this is a very busy and full day of making requiring lots of concentration at each stage of creating your very own unique bag. If you've not worked with leather before or have no other transferable craft skills we suggest that for you to get the most from this bag workshop, that you take one of our shorter workshops to build up your familiarisation and skills base.
