Discover the pristine South Coast NSW by Sea Kayak on this popular experience. Kayak in our comfortable vessels to remote, inaccessible pockets of coastline to swim, snorkel, explore by foot, eat, or simply bask in the natural beauty.
If you have never been in a sea kayak, then be prepared to be impressed. They are safe, comfortable, and perfect for remote coastal adventures. Every tour starts with a kayaking lesson, so you know the basics before setting off. In no time, you will be navigating rock passages and gliding through the crystal-clear ocean waters with ease.
This is the perfect tour for spotting migrating birds, schools of fish, playful seals and dolphins, and the very real chance of seeing whales during migration from August to November!
Our Half Day Sea Kayak Tour isn’t JUST about kayaking. Once we’ve chosen the perfect remote cove in which to land, we will pull up to explore, relax, and enjoy homemade treats, fruit, hot coffee and cold juice. Once we feel replenished by nature, we’ll set off again for the final kayaking leg.
Features & Highlights:
Meet Up Point: Your tour departure will be confirmed the afternoon/evening prior to your tour. This is because we will select the route for your tour based on the weather and swell conditions.
Tour Confirmation:
We require a minimum of 4 people in order to operate our tours. If your tour is not yet confirmed, it means we are waiting for more people to book. We aim to give you as much notice as possible as to whether your tour is going ahead or not. As soon as four people have joined a tour, all guests will receive a confirmation email with all the details, including where to meet* and what to bring.
Please bring
• Clothing suitable for kayaking (activewear you are happy to get wet)
• Hat
• Sunscreen
• Swimwear and a towel
• Your own snorkel kit (if you have)
• Footwear suitable for rock walking (thongs are not the vehicles to rock fun)
• Drinking water
• Change of clothes for the end
What should I NOT bring?
We recommend you leave valuables like jewellery and mobile phones behind in your car. If you would like to take your mobile phone in order to take photos, we recommend you carry it in a waterproof phone case. If you don’t have one, you can purchase one from us at the beginning of your tour. Please keep in mind we take photos of your experience, which you will receive the following day, free of charge.
What if it’s raining?
Our tours operate in rain or shine! The only time we would postpone, cancel or alter the route of a tour is if the swell and wind are not suitable if it is storming or a torrential downpour. Rain can lead to a truly magical kayaking experience.
What we do not provide
• Shade and sun protection - this is an active outdoor adventure; please come prepared with SunSmart bits
• Seasickness medication - if you are at all prone to motion sickness, we suggest you make arrangements for medication prior to your arrival
Your voucher(s) and booking information will be included in the confirmation email you will receive shortly after purchasing the experience on Amazed.com.
If the booking needs to be first confirmed by the host, you will receive your Amazed voucher within 24-48 hours of purchase.

2 years agoWonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and it was good that accommodated my dog onto the kayak. Very special to us as it was my pets first kayaking experience. Happy we did that. I would recommend to come early in the morning and will before 10am. Later the weather and current gets tough and it becomes difficult to manoeuvre. However that's not in our control.

2 weeks agoWent out with the guys on 21/4/24 to the Toll Gates, Batemans Bay. It was an awesome experience. Seen Dolphins, eagles catching fish and to top it off and the highlight of the day was the leatherback sea turtle swimming in and around the kayaks. Just brilliant. If you want a great day out and an experience you will never forget I suggest you go and see the guys at Region X Thanks again 😊

2 years agoPhenomenal experience with our guide Warwick kayaking and oyster tasting! Nola did our demo and talk about the history of oyster farming in the area and was just amazing to listen to. Very candid and insightful to hear first hand her and her family's experience living and working in Batemans bay. Our guide was so knowledgeable and patient with us especially for those who has no kayak experience! Stop in after the tour to the Oyster shed for the freshest Oysters with a beautiful view. Would 100% recommend! Thankyou guys!

a year agoIt has been a while since I last did kayaking and this tour (Glass Bottom Kayak Tour - Cullendulla Sanctuary) is a very good refresher with lots of fun! The tour guide is very outgoing and gave everyone very good instruction. I really appreciate how he also provided background to the Cullendulla Sanctuary and stressed the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability. The glassbottom tour was approximately 2.5hrs with decent duration of kayaking, rest and appreciation of the sanctuary. I truly enjoyed the experience and I highly recommend it! ( Also worth mentioning Region X staff are very friendly and helpful while deciding which tour to join. The communication is very clear, with helpful information about the tour, preparation, expectations and meeting point via email. Thank you Region X! )

4 months agoWe had a fantastic time! The demonstration and tips we were given were super helpful even for experienced kayakers and greatly benefited our enjoyment of the river. The team are all so lovely and full of local knowledge. We’ll definitely be back again.
