At Soul Surf School we deliver lessons to adults, families, couples, groups and kids 5yrs old and above.
Our lessons are specifically designed to teach you to surf at your own pace in a relaxed environment to build further self-confidence so you can continue in the sport of surfing and feel confident in the water.
All of our instructors are qualified surf coaches & surf life savers. All instructors have a vast knowledge of the local area and will only conduct lessons in surf conditions in waist-deep water with easy-to-ride waves in your first lesson.

a month agoI had a fantastic half day group surf lesson with this crew. It was a terrific way to meet some new people and have a blast. We took their bus to a quiet beach last Lennon head, saw some dolphins and surfed almost constantly for over two hours. The trip there and back was about 20 minutes each way, and we rinsed in a lake at the end.

3 weeks agoI booked a half day, very friendly staff! We were split up into smaller groups so we could get more personal feedback and more wave time. I was in Clems group and he was amazing, super positive and enthusiastic and very attentive! Being a first time surfer I’m very happy with the outcome of my lesson. Thank you Clem and Soul staff!

a month agoHad a great experience with both a beginners group lesson and a private lesson afterwards. A very professional crew explains everything you need to know in detail and I had a really fun time learning to surf. I especially liked the solo lesson with Will. If you want to try surfing this is the place to go:)

4 months agoIt was our very first time surfing and we ended up with a private lesson with surf teacher Alex. We had such an amazing time and loved how he easily explained the theory and had so many great and personal advices in the water. At the end we reached our goal of catching and surfing the first waves and felt so good and happy. It was definitely worth the money and we recommend the soul surf school to everyone. We loved that Alex also gave us ideas of things to do around Byron and also about our upcoming time in Indonesia. Next time in Byron we will for sure come back! Thank you so much!!! :)
