All lessons are totally suited to the Total Beginner or Intermediate Surfer and are custom-made for you.

Style Surf School only has small groups so we can teach you important information about warming up, better paddling power, catching waves, and standing and surfing across the wave face / green unbroken waves.

We also want to take your own surfing to the next level for intermediate to advanced surfers where we fine-tune your own technique and of course, the Style of Surfing you want to achieve.

We make sure we give you Byron Bays’ surf rules and safety tips about rips, tides, sandbanks, winds, and the waves right here.

What's included?

3 Hour Group Beginner to Intermediate Surf Session

Great for potential surf stars to have an introductory surfing lesson giving you a taste of what surfing is really about.
We provide all the equipment as well as the best information on Surfing Equipment, Surf Safety, Ocean Awareness as well as getting you out into the surf zone where we help you to catch and surf the waves on your own as we are in the surf the whole time helping you do it.
We will boost your confidence in the surf zone as well as getting those nervous feelings out of your system with our positive surf instruction at all times.
We help you totally with your swimming ability to make you feel super comfortable in the surf zone and can conquer any fears you may have and boost your confidence in the waves.
Style Surf School will supply all the Surfboards, Rash Shirts, Wetsuits, Sunscreen, Far King Wax & Heaps of Unreal Fun for you.
You bring swimmers, towel and a water bottle and you can either pay cash or direct deposit on the day we go surfing.
We also offer a Mobile Surfboard hire service for $25 per day per surfboard bringing the board right to you either to the beach or to your holiday house. Wetsuits $5 per day.

Had the absolute best time with Style Surfing Byron Bay. Stood up on my first wave, Guy and Gaz were the most amazing teachers. They were so funny and put the entire group at ease. We’ve already booked to surf again and couldn’t recommend this company enough. Thanks Gaz 🏄‍♂️🌊

Hands down the best surfing experience I’ve ever had. Safety is the number one priority out on the open water, and I can say that this is most definitely true with Style Surf. Would definitely recommend to any skill level, from the “never touched a surfboard in their lives” to the self proclaimed “surf professional”. Gaz is a bloody legend.

I was supposed to try surfing for the first time this morning and I was really excited. We got ready and went to the beach only to find out that the waves weren't good so the lesson was cancelled. I think it was the right decision and I was fine with that but I felt very uncomfortable for the whole hour when we were preparing for surfing. I don't know why but the instructor Gaz was ignoring me and wasn't friendly towards me at all. I left feeling disappointed and not welcomed.

What a bloke! Big up Gaz. We were walking down main beach wanting to try out some surfing and bumped into Gaz who kindly offered us a couple of boards as he was about to run a lesson. He even let us join in with his group whilst giving us top advice. Need more people in the world like this man! Thanks Gaz
