Housed in a historic weatherboard building, which served as the much-loved Ferris auction rooms for over 80 years, the precinct opened in April 2017 and is home to a variety of artistic spaces. With a large section of the building still under renovation, The Old Auction House is currently home to a retail shop specialising in quality Australian handmade items and art and craft supplies, four working artist studios including local glass artists Leadlight By Ettore, a teaching space for visiting artists, and two gallery spaces with rotating exhibitions.

At The Old Auction House, we run a dynamic schedule of weekend craft workshops so there are always things to do in Kyneton! Our short courses are perfect for your next weekend getaway or Melbourne escape, we cater for couples, families and girls' weekends away and even hen parties, as well as our loyal locals!
