Australian Wild Tours offers a daily fishing charter experience targeting some of most iconic species the Northern Territory has to offer. From Barramundi, Saratoga and Jewfish to Threadfin Salmon and Tarpon this amazing opportunity will evoke excitement with every cast.

The Finniss River is home to a diversity of aquatic wildlife from Dolphins, Stingrays and Sharks to basking Crocodiles and Sea Eagles it sets the perfect platform for an experience on the water.

A Catch and Cook guarantee we source local Mud Crabs from the Finniss River, using pots strategically placed in the river system you can be assured of a catch every time and a meal that is authentically Australian.

Australian Wild Tours is partnered with the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) shark tagging program which uses tagging data from captured species to determine biological and ecological factors affecting population and distribution dynamics.

Location

The Saltwater Finniss River is easily accessed from the Dundee Beach boat ramp, taking roughly 35 minutes transit along the coastline to reach the mouth of the Finniss River.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the experience taking place.

A trip with Andrew is something different, it's very immersive, it's exciting , it takes you places you would never go otherwise otherwise. I've been out with Andrew twice on a 10 and a 5 day trip 4 years apart, and I can tell that his intensity remained unchanged.... You're pretty much guaranteed to not only see and do things you haven't done before, but also good company, and in addition to that company of someone with incredible experience, wisdom, curiosity, perception and, if you're up for a challange, endurance - but he was taking is easy for me. I should add I had nothing to worry about on this trips but they were exhilarating nonetheless, as he'll be by your side at all times .Say 'no more!' to boring resort vacations!:D

What should I wear?

As a result of the surrounding climate conditions we highly advise that you wear clothing that is breathable and light. Camping and outdoor stores can recommend the clothing type that is suitable for you. The weather conditions can vary depending on the time of year.
Wearing comfortable closed footwear is also a must. There are a number of hiking shoes that are ideal for walking in the bush; however I would also recommend a comfortable pair of sneakers/joggers. We advise all clients to bring at least two pairs of shoes on tour.

Can I film the experience?

This is a key part of the experience; the operator will take the responsibility of filming aspects of your journey into the wilderness. If you would like to film and take pictures of your experience this must be approved by the guide.

Children aged 10+ can join the tour with a parent or guardian.
All individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult or guardian.
Australian Wild Tours operate between June & November and are limited to a maximum of 4 people (min of 2) for a truly intimate experience.
