I have now done two fantastic private tours of the Swan Valley with Shannon and I 100% recommend booking with Up Close and Local if you are in Perth. We visited great wineries on both occasions and Shannon was very happy to customise the tour depending on what we were interested in (eg particular types of wine or a gin distillery). She was very accommodating in making stops if we wanted to buy bottles from a winery we had visited earlier, or visit the chocolate shop. A great day out.

Everything was perfect - from the first email through the preparation to the last minute of the trip. Highly recommend. Advised what activities we were interested in around Perth and the itinerary was developed based on the time we had with great suggestions from Shannon. Comfortable transport, knowledgeable and friendly guide Paul made it a special couple of days. Only wish they did even more tours in WA and other states.

Our group of four decided to celebrate our last day of our NT/WA holiday with a half day Swan Valley tour. It was a tremendously successful decision. It was a great way to finish our holiday and to enjoy Swan Valley, some lovely wines, boutique beers and see the area in general. Shannon looked after us and she was so spot on with her knowledge of the area, very good wine knowledge and just being so willing to ensure that we had a great day out. Plus, she’s very nice and has a great sense of humour. I definitely recommend this tour. It was so enjoyable.

This tour may be subject to minimum numbers to operate.
For the comfort of all guests, our wine tours are adults 18+ only, and our food tours are 16+
All passengers must be able to provide photo identification for proof of age if requested.
Tours are max 12 people (and sometimes less) which means we get access to venues that won't take the big bus groups.
Our tours are not 'cookie cutter' and no two days are the same! We visit small businesses that offer a genuine and authentic local experience. This means sometimes we may need to switch things up and while each tour may be slightly different, you will always get inclusions that are the equivalent (or better!).
We want you to dress comfortably so that you can enjoy your tour, and recommend that a ‘smart casual’ dress standard is the safest choice.
Wearing thongs (flip-flops) is not recommended as some venues do have dress codes in place that don’t allow these.
Additional drinks can be purchased at some venues if you wish
Please note: some dietaries may not be able to be catered for at all venues

Light jumper/cardigan in Spring/Autumn

Cancellation more than 10 days before the date of the tour – your payment will be returned to you less any costs we incur*
Between 2 and 10 days before the tour date – 50% of the booking value will be returned
Less than 48 hours before the day of the tour – 0% of the booking value will be returned
