  • Overview

A series of short treks designed to showcase the splendour of Cape Range and the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Coast. Walk the red ramparts and magnificent gorges of Cape Range, down through the coastal plains and dunes and into the refreshing turquoise waters of Ningaloo Lagoon, a journey of only a few kilometres in distance though a humbling 25 million years in time.
Our Cape Range Explorer-One day adventure starts off with our longest trek of the day (approximately 4-6kms) as we explore one of the many canyons that dissect the North West Cape, affording us breathtaking views of the Ningaloo Coast.

After a relaxing, hearty lunch, we then take the opportunity to explore the Ningaloo Coast, trekking pristine beaches and coastal dunes with a refreshing swim only metres away. Then, time permitting, we will explore the tranquillity of Mangrove Bay with a short walk or just take a seat in the bird hide and take it all in before we head home to Exmouth.

  • What's included?
    • Spectacular canyon trekking and views
    • Isolated range and beach camping
    • We can provide you with all quality equipment needed for your multi-day trek at no extra cost.

Absolutely incredible 2 days. Can’t recommend enough. Both Ian and Erin were so warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. They thought of everything, making the hike seamless and enjoyable. The Range is stunning - there was nothing better than some yarns, cheese and port under the stars and watching the sunrise create captivating shadows across the range. Definitely will come back for the 3/4 day Trek. Thanks so much!

Amazing experience!! Erin and Ian are absolute legends and took us on an awesome trek. Their knowledge of the routes, local area and wildlife is fantastic and I learnt lots on our adventure. It was great to be immersed in nature in places where few people have been before. The views were epic and we covered so many terrains of the Cape range national park from pindan to bush, gorge to dunes! I can’t recommend this tour enough - incredible experience and a wonderful way to experience Ningaloo terrestrially. There are as many treasures on land as there are underwater in this beautiful part of the world.

We had an amazing day with Trek Ningaloo! Perfect to explore the beauty of the Cap Range National Park in one day. We went exploring Yardie Creek in the morning and found a colony of bats, some rock wallabies and ospreys. After a great lunch we spent the afternoon walking the coast, watching turtles and humpback whales. Ian is incredibly knowledgeable about the Cap Range National Park and its fauna/flora. Whatever your hiking level, Ian will adapt the tour to your capabilities and desires. Thanks Trek Ningaloo!

We had such an amazing experience! Camping up high on the magnificent range overlooking the beautiful Ningaloo reef was a real highlight. The view from camp at sunset was stunning and the star gazing at night was spectacular. There was no one else around, it felt like we had the whole National park to ourselves. We spotted whales and many rock wallabies. Ian was a fantastic guide. He is very passionate and had so much knowledge of the area, the history and the flora and fauna. Ian has included so many thoughtful touches to the trek that really made it special. I would highly recommend this experience !

Absolute must do activity when visiting Exmouth, Ningaloo region. The only trekking business available and provides a different angle to the often marine focused activities. Wonderful trek from East to West, had the opportunity to start on the East while taking in the beautiful views as I hiked my way to the top to other glorious views. Then an overnight in the range under a star-filled sky. Very peaceful evening after a day of hiking. A few kangaroos to be spotted and beautiful eagles too. Up early to some changing scenery, and then wandering towards the edge to view the beautiful west coast overlooking Ningaloo. Final trek down and on to the beach for another camp, quick swim and turtle spotting to wind down... wonderful experience. Definitely cannot leave Exmouth/ Ningaloo without doing one of the treks on offer that takes you up to the ranges. Ian was absolutely fantastic as a guide, very patient as at times I slowed and he ensured we arrived safely for meal/ tea breaks and carefully selected camping sites, having researched the area and provided great equipment (light to carry) (and food) for the whole hike, only needed my hiking boots! Lots of laughs and lots of wow factor during the hike. A fabulous memory to leave with. Thanks Ian for Ningaloo treks ! Hope to be back to do some more !
