Enjoy an amazing degustation your way, pick which options suits you.
Currently, The Q Train has five dining carriages, and two bars. Each dining carriage offers a unique experience for The Q Train’s patrons. When booking, we ask that you choose which dining option you would like.
The first of our carriages is called the Q Class Dining Car. Seating forty-two passengers on tables of two, four or six, this carriage is our main dining ‘room’. Diners in the Q Class Dining Car will experience The Q Train’s amazing degustation, and have the opportunity to enjoy beer, wine and cider from the finest local breweries and wineries. This is the only Q class carriage to have six-seat tables, of which there are two.
This carriage takes inspiration for its décor from the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula. The second dining carriage on The Q Train is our Q Class Bar Car. This carriage provides the same excellent level of service as the Q Class Dining Car, however it also features its own bar, displaying heritage railway artefacts.
The Q Train will primarily depart from Drysdale Railway Station.
Your voucher(s) and booking information will be included in the confirmation email you will receive shortly after purchasing the experience on Amazed.com.
If the booking needs to be first confirmed by the host, you will receive your Amazed voucher within 24-48 hours of purchase.

2 weeks agoFirst Class for 2 - 2nd week of March 2024 My wife and I opted for the first class dinner evening experience as a romantic weekend getaway over the labour day long weekend. Overall, it was a nice experience - something different. The service was impeccable from the moment we stepped onto the platform. My wife was pregnant and they were very accommodating and thoughtful. We had time to roam, enjoyed a beverage before we were explained about the journey from Georgia - she was a wonderful hostess throughout our trip. We stopped on two platforms and had time to walk around. I had read the reviews about the food, however the quality and amount of food we received was nice, fresh and was complimented nicely with the drinks list. The views - it was a lot of peoples backyards and wetlands - but nice. We chose March and the night experience due to our situation and availability, I was aware that it might get dark early and I was right. The train left at 7, and it was dark by 830pm. If you are going to book after mid Feb for the night experience - keep this in mind. Overall a nice experience, however I do think that it is a bit pricey for the first class experience - it is solely due to the fact that you are dining on a moving train. Thank you to the Q Train team!!

a month agoAn experience you must try! Beautiful carriage- we chose the first class option when is a great deal when you get a drink with every meal and on arrival. Food was good, drink pairings were lovely, free tea and coffee at the end. The staff went out of their way to make it an experience- letting us see the steam carriage and did a drive by so we could take videos. Definitely recommend

3 weeks agoWhat an amazing experience. From arriving on the red carpet and getting your photos taken with your glass of champagne. To your 1st class private compartment, where we were waited on with a delicious five course meal. The train was amazing, as was the service, food and the accompanying drinks. I highly recommend taking the Q train. You won’t be disappointed.

a month agoAwesome 1st class experience. From the moment we arrived at the station the service was fantastic from all the staff. On board we were served by Georgia who did a great job, made us feel special and was helpful taking some photos for us, and explaining all the meals as they came to us. The food was simply delicious, as was the wine, beer and mocktail pairings that we chose. First class experience and would absolutely recommend

4 weeks agoWhat a lovely way to spend the evening. The train was magnificent and it was a pleasure to be a part of history. The staff were efficient, friendly and always available. The view outside the train was beautiful until the sun set then romantic once darkness descended. The food was mostly excellent (one out of five dishes was disappointing). Every dish was something that we would order from an a la carte menu. The beer was served icy cold, the cocktails freshly made and the whiskey on ice as I like it. Three and a half hours was probably a bit long to sit at a table with one person. Conversations have limits. We did enjoy listening in to our neighbours loud conversations during the lulls in our conversation.
