This spectacular Marine Park is only accessed at low tide with our specilised 4X4 and due to it's remoteness is home to many local and migrating wildlife throughout the year. Spend a half day with family and friends and learn about one of the most diverse National Parks in the world with our fun local guides passionate about their roles in the conservation and sustainability of such an important wildlife refuge and Eco system. An amazing way to experience the Marine Park on a surf, stand up paddle and sea kayaking adventure.
Expect to see many of the local wildlife on your Private day tour adventure Bottlenose dolphins, Humpback whales (over 35000 to pass this season), turtles often seen feeding and resting in the clear shallows of the lagoons and ocean including the Green Sea turtle, Loggerhead and Hawksbill. Sting rays, manta rays and many different local and migrating bird species including the Brahminy and Whistling Kite, Eastern Osprey.
Pick up from Rainbow Beach accommodation. Please allow 4-4.5 hours from pick up to drop off. Please be aware this unique private tour departures daily and times vary due to tide times to access Double Island Point along the beach.
What to bring?
Swimwear, sunscreen, water, towel, hats, snacks, camera and change of clothes.(It is a requirement that all food, littler and any other waste are taken with you out of the National Park on completion of your visit)
What can I take in the kayaks?
Just yourself, water and camera if willing. We will provide wetshirts or wetsuits and life vests. If you want to bring your camera make sure it’s waterproof. Taking your phone you do so at your own risk. Tour guides do take GoPro’s and can give you footage after tour. We advise to keep your belongings in the vehicles until after tour to prevent loosing items and negatively impacting the National Park.
Do you take children under the age of 7
We do make exceptions for this rule if weather conditions are suitable.
Is this tour suitable for elderly people/less fit/ heavier people?
All our kayaks are double kayaks, so we generally pair a strong person with a less stronger person. Paddling at Double Island is generally easy we recommend an average level of fitness. Please contact our staff if you would like to discuss further.

3 months agoThis compay is awesome. Sean is such a nice guy. I have gone on various different experiences with Epic Ocean Adventures Rainbow Beach Tours. My favourite are the dolphin kayaking and the most amazing surfing spot! The most perfect right hand wave with constant long waves to ride and perfect your surfing style. Both activities start with a 4x4 experience along the beach where Sean and his team talk and inform you all about the beach and the different sand/rick that gives rainbow its name. The activities take place at double island point and all my friends agreed it’s such a beautiful place and really is a must do when you visit Rainbow beach. This company deserves a 10/10 and I would recommend anyone to go. I have been surfing for a long time and these were some of if not the best waves I have surfed and I was even lucky enough to have a turtle join me on my surf too! Don’t miss this, book asap! 4 months agoWe had an amazing time on the Rainbow Beach Dolphin View Kayak Experience. Sean and his team of Luke and Andre were so friendly and knowledgeable. Great fun driving along the beach and then we got to see a pod of dolphins within 15-20 mins of getting in the water - truly unforgettable!

a week agoOur best Australia experience so far! We were quite lucky on our tour day with amazing weather, an unexpected private tour and so so so many dolphins getting close to us. Our guide made sure we were safe at all times and made gorgeous pictures and videos. We suck at kayaking but he didn't laugh at us (at least not in our face 🤣.) In other words, this tour is suitable for all levels. Thank you guys for this beautiful day!
