You’re connected to our climb line for the entire climb and you’ll start the journey along the suspended walkway to the base of the southern pylon, learning about the colourful history of the Story Bridge and Brisbane.

Every Climb to the top includes a Climb group photograph, with additional individual photographs available for purchase.

Location

Begins at our Climb base camp, directly under the Story Bridge.
The summit is approximately 80 metres above sea level.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your climb to ensure you have plenty of time to be ready for an on time departure.
Street parking is available. It is paid parking on weekdays and free on weekends.

Couldn't have asked for a better tour guide, shared so much knowledge with us behind story bridge and always made sure we were all okay. Did the day climb under the Summertime Special discount; it was amazing! Our guide Jess did a great job making sure we were safe, having fun, & learning the bridge’s history. I was nervous when climbing the stairs to the bridge, but my nerves faded when I was actually on it. Would 100% recommend!

Thank you so much to Nick and Mick for our great Twilight Adventure on the Story Bridge on the 4/2/2024. We had a great group to climb with, I felt I was slowing everyone 🐌😂 but no!! With photos being taken by Mick and the history and knowledge lesson at the top of the bridge, then crossing the bridge, getting more great photos, it was back down....then my legs were like jelly 😅 I DID IT 🫸🫷 for our 41st Wedding Anniversary and my husband's Birthday. Wonderful Adventure thanks everyone 👍🤩

We did the twilight climb for our 10 year wedding anniversary and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Everything from beginning to end was just perfect. Friendly attentive staff, especially our guide Riley who was knowledgeable, entertaining, genuine and fun. The climb itself was spectacular and twilight was the perfect time to do it, getting a great view on the way up, the sunset as you reach the top and then after making your way to the middle of the bridge, the beautiful city lights on the way back. Thanks Story Bridge Adventure Climb for a truly wonderful experience and making our anniversary one to remember! We will be back!

Story bridge climb was a birthday gift to me, to begin with, the pricing was great I thought. In $129, me and my son both did it, taking advantage of the Sunday Funday deal. There were about 1000+ steps, and it took us 1.5 hrs return. Alex our tour guide was polite and funny too, his pace was good, he gave us good facts about the history of the bridge. Alex also took some amazing pictures, thank you Alex. Definitely recommended to a tourist or a QLDer, worth it.

All children 6-16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian whilst climbing. (Children between 6-9 must have 1 adult to 1 child ratio and children between 10-16 can have 1 adult to 3 children ratio). Please note, children under the age of 6 will be unable to participate in the climb.
All persons climbing must be 110cm and over and weigh under 131.5KG. The weight restriction is due to the restrictions of the safety equipment used. For the Abseil Climb there is a maximum weight restriction allowed of 115KG.
All climbers are supplied with a fully enclosed climb suit. Our climb leaders will talk to you about the weather conditions on the day and will suggest what would be comfortable to wear on the climb in conjunction with your climb suit. Accessories provided are, but not limited to; hats, sunglasses, lanyards, rain resistant jackets and sunscreen. All climbers are required to wear fully enclosed rubber soled footwear.
Personal items will not be permitted to be taken on the climb including, cameras, videos, pagers, mobile phones and handbags. We will provide each climber a locker in which personal items can be stored.
Ladies who are pregnant can be up to 20 weeks and still be able to climb. However, due to the nature of the activity pregnant ladies are not permitted to do the Abseil Climb.

Cancellation Policy

Once a ticket is purchased for either the Cantilever Lean Out or Walk The Plank, no partial or full refunds will be issued unless the activity is cancelled by a member of the SBAC staff due to safety concerns. This means if you choose not to participate in this activity for any reason you will not be entitled to a refund or credit.
