a month agoI love the ambience here, it takes me back in time with decor so fitting with the location -Brisbane Arcade. It’s the cheapest High Tea in Brisbane and yet for me it is the best and the service is excellent. I love old China cups and saucers as well as the teapots.

2 months agoI recently took my daughter here for the chocolate fondue high tea. The staff were very nice, the rooms were clean and beautiful. Upon being seated we were asked if we would like tap or sparkling water. Opted for sparkling, upon settling our bill we were charged an extra $10 for this privilege (bit of Bill shock as this was not explained upon ordering), and an additional $0.50 for a very small jug of lactose free milk. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh, the savoury scrolls were a bit over cooked and bland. The vol au vonts, didn't have much of a taste either. The raspberry scones, whilst looked very pretty, were very dry to the point where they could have been stale. We were very disappointed especially at $60 per person. I would definitely not recommend this experience.

a week agoCame for what we thought was going to be a wonderful High Tea EXPERIENCE but what we got was paper as a table cloth, paper napkin's and plain old crockery. I thought High Tea was supposed to be all about the beautiful china cups and saucers, plates etc however not at Room with Roses. My coffee was served in plain old white cup as were my guests. We were served our High Tea with one tower to 2 people which was fine however it certainly was not worth $55pp. The staff were polite enough when we got to see them. The room itself is pretty but overall I am very disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high or I am comparing it to others I have been to. Regardless we shall not be back.

5 months agoWhat a delight to indulge in the festive tea trolley high tea. A lovely 2 hrs spent indulging in high tea specialities, festive bubbles & freshly brewed coffee. A delight for the senses. Highly recommended.
