Want to learn to surf on Main Beach Byron Bay? We are one of the few surf school providers who run lessons right in Byron Bay.
We surf in really small groups, max of 7 participants so you will have loads of hands on help from our professional instructors.
Our 2-hour lesson (3 hour experience) will offer a truly authentic surfing experience that covers all the basics from warm-up to paddling, catching waves and standing! The lesson price includes all equipment; board, wetsuit, rash vest, sunscreen and zinc.

Hone your surfing skills with extra attention from a dedicated personal surf coach. Whether you’re an individual determined to get up on that wave or a more experienced surfer needing feedback on technique, our private surf lessons give you that extra attention to detail and a dedicated coach to work with.
Your own personal surf instructor will set some goals, determine your current level and structure the lesson around your ability.
NOTE: This course is for adults, you must be over 12 years old to book in.
Price includes all equipment; surfboard, wet suit, rash vest, sunscreen and zinc.
Surfing lessons : This course is for adults, you must be over 10 years to book in.
The lesson is a 3-hour experience, includes 2 hours on the beach (preparing and pack up of the lesson, time in the water and on the beach).
Private Lessons: Children under 7 need one on one attention.

2 weeks agoMax was an excellent instructor, very passionate in teaching surfing and patient with me and my 12 and 14 year old girls. They loved the experience and that was in part because Max was so good with them, giving them helpful tips and praise every time they attempted to surf the waves. Id highly recommend ✨

5 months agoI had no surfing experience but had a fantastic time at the beautiful Bondi Beach this past week. I managed to stand up on the board for more than a few seconds by the end of the lessons! I took three two hours lessons with respectively Joey, Maria and Ben. Each instructor had their own style and were equally helpful. Loved Joey’s positivity, Maria’s thorough instructions and Ben’s detailed, technical pointers. Thanks for running such awesome surf classes! (p.s. Bondi was much less crowded for my two weekday lessons compared to my Saturday lesson, but it was still conducive to beginners learning on Saturday)

Super helpful, fun, very informative tips, attentive to all and explained everything in detail! Me and my friends were all able to stand on the board during our very first lesson!
