Thanks, Josh, for your patience with me last week during my private lesson on the 3/2. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Your instruction, your company, the sights, sounds, birds, fish, rocks, the smell of the ocean, AND falling in.TWICE. Merely wanted to learn to steer the board with that pesky paddle. Despite my crone status (61, ill with cancer) managed it all with aplomb. Now to find time to practice solo....

If you haven't as yet tried Stand Up Paddle boarding (also know as SUP or Supping) then you must and there's no better place to try it out than at St Kilda beach. Stand Up Paddle Boarding HQ operate there right on Pier Road, in front of the Royal Melbourne Yacht Club, so you can hire a board and all the equipment you need, and paddle away. You can also have group or private lessons if need be. Stand Up Paddle Boarding HQ operate their SUP school there and they are skilled and passionate about supping and they will help you learn the correct technique and master the sport. Not only is this sport great for general and core fitness (great for strengthening your core back) through strength and balance exercise, at the same time you'll have lot of fun in the water. Paddling among the beautiful yachts and the sea life, even with penguins visible swimming underneath your paddle board is a lot of fun. Highly recommend.

Instructor Vinny was a bloody legend! We had an amazing time paddling in the stunning St Kilda Bay. Highly recommend for yourself or a gift voucher for friends/family!

I could not speak highly enough of our entire experience. Vincent made us feel very welcome and his instruction on paddle boarding were first class. Both myself and my partner were standing up in no time in no small part to the excellence of his tuition. The location is fantastic for beginners, easy access by car or public transport and the waters calm. Highly recommended - we will be back!

Had SUP lesson with Carlos and it was amazing. Valid was very careful and attentive in explaining all the safety aspects before taking me out on the water. There I was shown correct padding and turning techniques. Had an absolutely fabulous time and can’t wait to return to hire a board 😊
