WOW - amazing sunrise hot air balloon flight. Eddie the pilot, navigated the ballon and was, well experienced, confident and fun and was always happy to answer any questions. Very organized and professional. We had a very smooth flight throughout, including the takeoff and landing. The whole experience was magical - so peaceful and the views were stunning. Wind - or rather the lack of - meant we didn't fly over the city, but the views were still spectacular and we got to see the sunrise. The communication about the weather and whether the flight was going ahead was spot on, and the app provided lots of useful information and updates. It was great fun helping to get the balloon filled and packing up too, and my husband was able to join the ground crew while I was on the flight, and he thoroughly enjoyed helping Nick follow our balloon to the landing site. Couldn't fault my first ever hot air balloon flight - everything was very organized and professional, would highly recommend Global Ballooning!

Being a local girl, for years I’ve watched the hot air balloons fly over the city and suburbs and have always wanted to do it myself and so, finally booked tickets. After four cancellations due to Melbourne’s weather, we finally managed to fly. And it was awesome! Everything was perfect. We met at the Pullman Hotel in East Melbourne and then driven to our launch site which today was Caulfield Racecourse. After watching the balloons being inflated and a safety briefing, we got into the basket and set off. We flew from Caulfield Racecourse, over the inner suburbs (over Caulfield, Malvern, Armadale, Toorak, Richmond) and towards the MCG and then over towards Carlton and Parkville, landing near the zoo in Royal Park. The view of the city was amazing. Simply beautiful. And so calm and peaceful up there. Afterwards, we all helped pack the balloon up into its bag (including being allowed to go inside the balloon before it was fully deflated), then they took us back to the meeting point. I thank our pilot, Clement, and the ground crew for a wonderful experience. I highly recommend flying with Global.
