Cape Tribulation Horse Rides have the distinction of being the longest tour operator in Cape Tribulation. The horse riding tour caters mainly for beginner riders. For the extreme horse rider, please be advised this is a trail ride with the appropriate safety precautions in place. Generally we like to get horses and riders in the shallow ocean, and in quite a few instances we have been asked about crocodile and stinger concerns, so to clear up any concerns, here is a brief summary. Firstly staff are not to take horses into the ocean unless they have clear visibility in the water. Secondly there is protection from a reef that shelters us from the elements of nature, making it quite safe to enter the ocean on horse back. Starting from the stable with our friendly guides, customers will wind their way through the oldest rainforest in the world and be pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Myall Beach. Before you enter the ocean we take the opportunity to get some great photos of riders in this relaxed environment. We encourage riders to get the most of the 2 hour experience as it encompasses both rainforest, beach and open paddock, with a Jurassic park feel to the experience. All equipment is supplied: approved helmets, rain jackets, saddle bags with water bottle holders and dry bags for equipment. All equipment conforms to Australian Standards and we have a COVID-19 safety plan in place. Prices are: $139.00 per adult, $99.00 per child ages 14 down to 10 years old. Customers are shown all types of fauna and flora, some indigenous and some introduced species to the area. Chances of encounters with the famous cassowary are highly likely, as our 350 acre property is home to quite a few.

6 months agoIf you are in Cape Tribulation, definitely go for a Horse Ride. The tour takes 1,5 - 2 hours and is super relaxing in a beautiful location. Once you are at the beach, the guide will takes pictures of everyone for a great memory to look back. The horses walk slowly and are very well behaved, I always felt safe. Due to insurance reasons, they are not allowed to make the horses run etc, hence it will be a slow ride (just for the experienced riders to know).

9 months agoWhat a great relaxing afternoon ride from rainforest to Cape Tribulation beach. Gerry was very loving to the horses & informative on flora & fauna throughout the rainforest. Brooke was so helpful taking photos along the ride and also backtracking after the ride in the ATV to find my prescription sunglasses. Thank you again 💓

a year agoAbsolutely magical experience - there is just something wonderful about riding a horse. Plus, horse riding on the beach, with clear blue skies made it even more special. The three guides were friendly, educational and helped take pictures of this special moment. The horses were well trained, followed everyone's instructions and perfect for beginner riders. We rode through the stable property, crossing roads (must have been quite a sight to the people driving cars), forest/mangroves and onto the beach, then back again - lasting 2 hours. Had a great afternoon!

9 months agoBooked this for my 14year old and husband as I can't ride and they had a wonderful time. Very lucky with the weather and the horses were a dream to ride, very well trained. The guides knowledgable about the area and the horses too. A must and something different to do!

a year agoMagical location! I am a beginner rider and was nervous prior to the ride but their was no need. Horses were well trained and we only walked. The team of three staff were so friendly and helpful and even took photos for us at the beach. Made us feel very comfortable. Our family of four all loved the 2 hour ride through the property, across the road, through the rainforest and along the beach at Cape Tribulation. We even road through the water. Great activity to do together and amazing part of the world! Highly recommend!
