Discover a truly spectacular urban wilderness in the heart of Perth.

This unique opportunity takes in the incredible wildlife & scenery of a relatively unknown and untouched wetlands region on board one of our safe & easy to paddle kayaks.

We meet and launch near the Canning River Bridge in Riverton and paddle slowly into the wetlands area. Here we take the time to enjoy the birdlife that live, hunt and breed in this unique regional park and learn a little of the first Australians who lived in the area as well as the first European explorers that settled the Swan River Colony.

We continue our paddle and explore the alluvial islands and estuarine vegetation of the Canning River Regional Park before arriving at Kent Street Weir.

After a well earned break. we jump in our kayaks and head back to our start point via a slightly different route but again taking time to absorb the areas beauty.

Matt & his staff were excellent to deal with during this whole experience. So friendly and easy to relate to. I was 37 weeks pregnant and felt comfortable paddling through this tour. The kayaks were very steady and comfortable. There was a little treat to end the tour as well, which was a surprise! Highly recommend this tour for a relaxing yet active experience to learn a bit about Perth’s cliffs/caves.

It was a great day for a mother-daughter kayak adventure. Both Matt and Kevin made us feel safe and confident with our limited knowledge of steering and paddling a kayak! We love listening to the indigenous history and culture stories while sitting in our kayaks, lulled by the river's current, getting close to the cave and cliffs. The whole experience was such a joy

Pedals and Petals wildflowers tour this morning was outstanding. The bikes are good and sturdy and the route not taxing at all. Our guide Kevin is very personable bloke who held our interest with his botanical and historical knowledge of Perth's amazing Kings Park. Highly recommend.

We did the Cliffs and Caves Kayak tour and had a fantastic time. Matt and Sue were so organised, professional, friendly, and helpful. It was so interesting to learn about the history as we paddled around, and the location of this tour is absolutely beautiful. We'll definitely be doing another one.

Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Minimum age for participation in a kayak tour is 8 years old.
Tandem kayaks have a maximum weight limitation of 125kg per person or 250kg per kayak.
We will provide each guest with a life jacket. We have a variety of sizes to ensure all our guests have an appropriate flotation device.
We also carry first aid kits with us at all times and are qualified first aid officers.
No paddling experience is needed. We provide you a safety briefing and show you how to paddle our very stable sit-on top kayaks.
We paddle for about 30 minutes before having a break. We then paddle for another 30 minutes on our return journey.
What to wear and bring
- Weather protection clothing and sunscreen
- A full water bottle
- Some money for the café stop
- Some shoes that can be worn in the water like reef shoes, wetsuit shoes or old sandshoes (not essential)
- You may also like to bring along a towel and a change of clothes

Cancellation Policy

We have the right to use our discretion and cancel a tour dependent on weather or other factors that may make the tour unsafe. If we cancel a tour a 100% refund will be given and a notification will be sent via email.
Most tours will proceed as scheduled even in rain and hot weather. We do reserve the right to use our discretion and re-direct the tour slightly in order to make it more comfortable and safer for participants.
If a tour is postponed at a location due to weather, we will then wait at that location up to 1 hour before cancelling the remaining portion of the tour. If a tour is cancelled at this point, a 50% refund will be given.
