Discover the story of Sydney on this expert-led small-group walking tour, while hitting all of the city’s main attractions.
Perfect for those who have just arrived, as well as locals and those who want to go deeper in learning about Australian history, culture, society & First Nations people.
Starting from Customs House, you’ll hear about Sydney’s colonisation by the British – and how their arrival impacted the original inhabitants, the Cadigal people of the Eora nation.
Your guide will provide you with a range of perspectives on Sydney’s development, introducing Aboriginal people, British governors, convicts & entrepreneurs, and other multicultural migrants, as you weave your way through the city centre.
Your tour ends with a walk through part of The Rocks, finishing at a popular brewery with harbour views of both the Bridge and the Opera House.
With a maximum of 12 guests, you’ll be able to walk the streets in a small group so you’re not fighting to see, hear your guide or stay on the footpath. You’ll also receive heaps of recommendations to make the most of your time in Sydney: food, nightlife, art and much more – stuff you won’t find in any guidebook!
On this walk you’ll visit, see and learn about:

a month agoMichael was so knowledgeable and passionate about bout the area and his career. There were many interesting geographical topics brought up within our group and he was able to navigate each one with ease. It was important that I went on a tour that gave a history to all aspects of Sydney/Australia so I appreciated how he was able to incorporate a little of everything and customize the experience based on our audience.

3 months agoWe couldn't recommend this tour highly enough! Our guide, Justin, was so knowledgeable and really tailored the tour to what the group was interested in. It was such an amazing way to get a snapshot of the city, and he had great recommendations to help the rest of our visit. We loved the inclusion of both local Aboriginal and colonial history.

3 months agoI highly recommend the ultimate Sydney walking tour, whether it is your first time in Sydney or not. Justin is friendly, personable, super knowledgeable, and he delivered an outstanding experience. He covered relevant content at a comfortable pace. Not only did he discuss the early history of the city and country, but he somehow seamlessly tied it to what Sydney has to offer today… including its arts, architecture, social life, current events… We absolutely loved our time spent with Justin and learned a ton while having a wonderful walk throughout the city. Big time highlight of our visit to Sidney.

6 months agoThis tour is awesome and Justin our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and food savvy. He presented a great insight into Chinese settlement and culture in Australian including historical attitudes toward immigration. Justin also knows the best places to eat including four of his favourite places to eat. The food was very satisfying and a great way to spend w hours. It's a fast track way learn of the best place to eat which also includes Japanese and Korean cuisine and more. Thanks very much for a great tour Justin. Kind Regards Adrian Hobart Tasmania
