This is a gem of a place. The bird aviary is a great experience. Our guide Lydia was very informative and everyone who wanted to, got a chance to hold a bird. The macaws were so impressive. Then we went to visit the very cute farm animals. Mother nature didn't gift us with great weather but the gardens still looked beautiful and our 6 year went back twice to the boat. When the weather cleared a bit we still saw the amazing view. I would also recommend visiting the toilets for a surprise in there. Can't believe I've been to Maleny so many times and never visited here. We will definitely be back.

We love this place have been there twice. Fantastic gardens, make sure you see coco the parrot. Hand raised by a opera singer, incredible talker. The bird tour this time was too rushed. Would have liked more time in the enclosure cause we love birds. Last year it was better. I understand the limited time with the large birds, but with the smaller less intimidating birds you need more time. Still a must see, especially for kids. Fell in love with the baby goats 🥰

Had an amazing time here. Our aviary guide was Savannah. She was very knowledgeable and made every effort to ensure anyone who wanted to have contact with the birds got a chance to. The aviary tour took about an hour after which we walked a few minutes to get to the baby farm animal area. They were adorable. Son had fun feeding them with the $4 bag of feed they sell. I recommend hiring a golf buggy for $45 to get around. It was fun zipping around the well manicured grounds and exploring the other areas. There are plenty of picnic tables dotted around the gardens. Very scenic and pleasant. No bugs or mozzies. They also have a cafe selling hot food

The word that pops into my head the minute we arrive at Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird Sanctuary is WOW. I have visited here once before and it is even more spectacular than I remember. From the birds you can get a photo with at the entrance, to the sweeping views of the Glass House Mountains, this place will blow you away. There are buggies for hire if you don't want to walk around the paths, that can be a little steep in places. There are also many rotundas dotted around the gardens where you can sit and relax. Of course you can visit the farm friends enclosure and also take a walk through the bird aviaries with a guided tour. There are so many gorgeous birds to see. Also there is a kiosk and cafe. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure to allow a few hours.
