We had a great time on the Acqua donut. It was so relaxing having a sausage in bread while floating around Docklands with amazing views all around. Staff were super friendly. Highly recommend doing this

Good fun with a group of friends. Bring sunscreen. Downside is that the engine is so weak that even at low winds you tend to drift in one direction. Don't expect to do a discovery tour of the harbour. There a different boats for that. But for hanging out, bbqing and drinking with friends it's quite good.

Basically, they didn’t provide the service we paid for boat was broken, took our full money, avoided contact then told us to go to VCAT. Read the other reviews they do it frequently! Better to use another company. Be aware they also trade as VIP Melbourne Boat Charter.

We had an unfortunate experience with Aqua Donut for New Years Eve. Was meant to be an amazing night watching fireworks in the middle of the Harbour with 8 of our other friends. - was told to get there 15min before and then the next day we were told to get there an hour beforehand, so we got there an hour before, but they kept us waiting outside the marina doors until it was nearly time to go and when we finally got through, they kept avoiding us and then at around 10:50pm they told us that the boat was out of order. It was an hour before midnight and no real alternative for us. Was told we could pay half price to sit in it. Which we declined of course. - manager/owner was not able to be contacted by anyone, so that we could understand what else could be done. We were left sitting there for our Nye with our friends which was meant to be an amazing night. - we lost our meat that were meant to be cooked on the bbq on the Aqua donut. And our drinks were warm. - no-one ever answers the phone. - had so much trouble finding the place wading through thousands of people at the Docklands with no real specific instructions on how to find the marina. We luckily just saw a gate through all the people. No signage or anything. - the two guys there Gabriel and Jeremy were fantastic considering they had to deal with 9 upset customers. - spoke to owner a couple of days later and although he apologized, it didn't seem sincere. He said 'we had the fireworks there anyways' and 'we could have sat in the boat'. Also mentioned that they tried to get another boat for us but it had been 'hijacked' 🤣. Didn't really care that we lost our meat and drinks, and no compensation or sympathy for us on one of the most important and special nights of the year.
