What's included?

The practical driving component of our Defensive Driving Program is conducted on WET ROADS at suburban speeds.
It includes a variety of on-road exercises including emergency braking, swerving, and multiple direction changes.

The practical exercises aim to educate drivers in:

Basic vehicle dynamics
The correct systems of car control: seating, vision, and steering
Correct braking techniques for both ABS and non-ABS vehicles
Skid causation, basic skid control, and skid prevention
Raising the drivers level of awareness about speed, reaction times, and stopping distances
Learn how your vehicle reacts in emergencies

The classroom component covers basic road safety concepts and the key principles of defensive driving including:
Understanding of how a drivers attitudes, motivations, and risk-taking behaviour can affect that drivers safety and the safety of other road users
The Golden Rules of Defensive Driving and how to apply them to everyday driving
The importance of correctly inflated tires and the condition and type of tires
Road laws and the introduction of any new laws

Such an incredible crew! Kev, Rich and Gav are absolute superstars! These guys provide so much information and insight for road users it is insane. The teaching styles of these three guys is extremely thorough, easy to understand, provide supportive guidance and knows their audience. A must for every single person wanting to learn how to: A) properly drive your car B) stop and brake when required C) conduct track training at Sandown D) increase knowledge and confidence Just do yourself a massive favour and do this course.

I had an exceptional experience during the junior driving experience level one here. I had Ben the instructor and he is very knowledgeable, helpful and funny. I learnt so much from him and am very grateful for it. I highly recommend the junior driving experience

Fab day at Sandown with this crew. Very good, practical approach to safety, streaming groups by experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my first track day. Wide variety of cars and punters. Newbie Tip: It's worth tapping an instructor on the shoulder and asking them to go around with you for a few laps. I got 3-4 great tips that I built on over the next few rounds on the track. Looking at their other courses for kids and keen to come back for myself.

Doing this course is a must, even if you think you have good control of a vehicle, you get some good practice and doing it in a manual is even better for learners with some good stopping and starting practice. The theoretical side of it was informative, funny and engaging, well worth the time!

All courses and gift vouchers purchased through Driver Dynamics are non-refundable but are fully transferable.
Driver Dynamics tries its hardest to run all courses as advertised however we retain the rights to cancel or reschedule our courses due to (but not limited to) extreme weather conditions, technical malfunctions, non-availability of venue, and lack of participant numbers.
It is YOUR responsibility to know where you need to go and to arrive on time.
If you arrive at the venue late on the day of your course, for safety reasons you will not be permitted to participate in the course. Participants who arrive late will forfeit their booking. You must not interrupt Driver Dynamics instructors if you are late.
Failure to produce a current driver’s license (or learners permit) at any of our courses will result in a forfeit of that course. You cannot drive if you are unlicensed. If you attend the course as a Learner, you must provide a fully licensed driver for the day.
The name(s) and spelling on the booking confirmation is the name of the registered person to do the course and a certificate will only be presented in that name. If the listed name is not the name of the person attending on the day or is incorrectly spelled, it is your responsibility to advise us of the correct details at least 2 business days before the course.
Please note that certificates will only be issued to participants upon completion of the course (if you do not stay until the end of the course, you will NOT receive a certificate).
Replacement certificates will be provided by request at a cost. Please note that requests for replacement certificates can take up to 20 business days to process.

• PLEASE NOTE: PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON ANY OF OUR PROGRAMS

Cancellation Policy

• Driver Dynamics try its hardest to run all courses as advertised however we retain the rights to cancel or reschedule our courses due to (but not limited to) extreme weather conditions, technical malfunctions, non-availability of venue and lack of participant numbers.
• Rebooking your course within 7 BUSINESS DAYS of the course date, will incur a $50.00 rebooking fee. Our business days are days when our office is open. Note that our office is open from 9.00 AM - 4.00 PM Monday - Friday (excluding public holidays).
- Courses will not be rescheduled within 2 BUSINESS DAYS of your booking date however a replacement person will be accepted however due to logistic reasons, we can not guarantee that a certificate with the replacement person's name will be ready on the day of the course.
• Non-attendance of your scheduled course will forfeit your booking – this includes (but is not limited to) weather conditions, work requirements, vehicle problems and family crisis. If you are unwell on the day of your scheduled course, a rescheduling request will be considered on presentation of a medical certificate and a rescheduling fee of $50.00 will be charged if your request is approved.

How to redeem
