Puffing Billy is Australia’s premier preserved steam train. This century-old steam train continues to run on its original mountain track from Belgrave to Gembrook, winding you through the magnificent Dandenong Ranges.
Puffing Billy was built to serve at the turn of the century and is a genuine relic of our more leisurely days. The Railway is the major survivor of four experimental lines used to develop rural areas in the early 1900s. Step back in time as you enjoy this authentic experience, with lush fern gullies brushing past and Mountain Ash trees towering overhead, Puffing Billy makes for a wonderful opportunity to relax and breathe in the fresh air whilst the train makes its way through the temperate rainforest.

a year agoOur guide Walter was fun to travel with. They took us to multiple places on the Great Ocean Road. They give you sufficient time to explore each location and take the full experience. Overnight accommodation offered was neat/tidy and enjoyable for 1 night.

a year agoI wanted to do a complete Great Ocean Road trip without skipping any attractions and I got nothing less. Walter, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and helped us have a great time giving us plenty of time to enjoy and keep us on schedule. He was always courteous. We even made a few stops that wasn't on the official itinerary. The van was comfortable and drive was smooth. The YHA accomodation was decent for a night stay. Recommend to anyone who wants Great Ocean Road checked off the list without regrets.

3 years agoThe 2 days Great Ocean Road Tour was very relaxing and it wasn’t rushed which we really enjoyed. There were lots of activities suitable for all ages and the views were great!! Walter is a great guide and we all had a great time!! Definitely recommend to all who want to experience the Great Ocean Road the right way! :)
