Rawnsley Park Station is still a working sheep station, running approximately 2000 sheep on 12,000 ha of land. Learn about the pastoral history of the region and what it takes to work in an arid environment. If done sensibly, our blend of Australian Merino and South African Dohne sheep prosper in this climate, producing high-quality wool and meat.
Discover the operations of our working sheep farm. Visit the original woolshed of Arkapena station. Get to know some of our sheep and learn how the wool is sorted and prepared for sale. Then tour the property while checking on the watering points, equipped with windmills and solar pumps and see the changing landscapes within Rawnsley Park Station.

in the last weekWe stayed in an Eco Villa and it was stunning. Beautifully clean, modern and well maintained. The setting and views have been captured perfectly. Everything you need is supplied-full kitchen, BBQ, just bring your food supplies. The wrap around verandah with amazing views was so special. There are nice drives and walks nearby. So relaxed after our stay.

4 months agoWe loved our stay here at Rawnsley Park, the room was super clean, spacious and great kitchen. The location was amazing with Lots of great hikes nearby. Waking up for sunrise was perfect! The view was amazing. It was so nice and quiet during the nights. Service was great as well, very friendly staff. We would definitely come back here! Highly recommend getting up early for sunrise hikes and seeing the sunset, the colours were spectacular!

a month agoWe stayed on a powered caravan site and found Rawnsley Park Station very good. The only thing I did notice was some sites could be challenging for caravans to reverse into but overall the sites were of a good size and the facilities were also very good and supported by friendly staff. It is a great place to stay when exploring the Flinders Ranges.

a month agoUnfortunately these guys put us through a lot to get a refund on our booking when we had to cancel threw a few unfortunate events. We had to cancel 10 days out and was told numerous times was not refundable, it was only that I persisted and persisted that we were eventually not charged. I would never question it if there was no availability or things had been done to accommodate us or if there was a administration fee that would have been fine! But as this was not peak season and there were plenty of cabins available to book, so we were not taking from bookings that would have been, I saw this as a total money grab! We have got everything in order now and going past on our previously plan trip though we will not be staying. The other bookings we had for the month trip did everything in their power to help, these guys are the only ones that did not!

a month agoSpectacular destination in every way possible,. Fully operational sheep station dedicated to providing the ultimate destination for giving us the opportunity to base ourselves for exploring all the Flinders Ranges region has to offer. The location, staff, amenities, facilities, camp sites for powered and unpowered or off grid are exceptional, with camp kitchens, laundry facilities, walking trails and scenic flights that can also be booked through the station caravan park, a truly complete experience. We booked a sunrise flight over Wilpena Pound that was absolutely stunning with our Pilot Corey, providing an exceptional knowledge based commentary throughout the entire flight. In short we must highly recommend this part of the Flinders Ranges experience if you have the time. I have not added pictures of the flight on purpose, as you just have to experience this for yourself.
