What's included?

Absolute Railside viewing positions at all times! You will have a maximum of 22 other passengers with you on the trip.
You will always have a rail side position to view the whales from.
There is a large centre table, surrounded by large soft covered seating pods, for those that want to bring some food with them to enjoy as well.
Our crew are there to help you in any way possible, including answering any questions you might have about the whales.
We will have a wide range of drinks aboard for you to choose from at prices at or below those of the average tavern! (NO BYO)
2 on deck modern marine toilets for your use.
Our modern marine (2000W) sound system will be gently playing background music to make sure the mood is perfect.
We operate with absolute respect for the whales at all times. That includes us keeping our distance (they can come to us of course).

DEPARTURE AND RETURN TIMES

July & early August (Early Season) MAY be extended to a 4 hour trip due to the greater distance that may be required to be travelled to have the best chance of seeing whales early in the season.
The departure times are 8:30AM, with a return at 11:30AM possibly 12:30PM. And afternoon departure time of 1PM, returning at 4PM possibly 5PM
Mid August through till Late October (Peak Season) will be a 3 hour trip.

Location

The location is the corner of Incana Court and Brisbane Road. This parking is free and unlimited in time, and only a 2 minute stroll (100m) from the departure point.
Once parked please wait near the top of the ramp until instructed by the skipper that it is safe to come down the ramp and board the vessel.

We were absolutely blown away by our experience with cavalier cruises. We booked in with a group of friends and the kids to see the Christmas lights through the canals and it was definitely one for the core memory bank! All the staff were so kind and accomodating and Jess was even able to tame the children’s excitement with her calm and bubbly manner. Thank you so much guys - we will be making this one an annual for sure!

Great cruise with knowledgeable, passionate and very friendly staff. They did everything possible for us to have a great experience and it was simply amazing. Saw whales breading multiple times, awesome experience. Parents and kids loved it! The owners also show great respect for the whales by keeping the required distance which was great to see. And when we saw another board with 120 people on it we were glad that we booked this trip with only 22 of us! We all had great views and could enjoy the viewing without having to push people around. Highly recommended.

We did the Christmas lights cruise and all of the staff were amazing. The service was great. The downside for us was we had a group of women standing and completely blocking the view of the kids with us. At one stage they did ask if we could see and we said no, and they stayed there. And when one of the staff kindly asked them to move up they commented it was our issue for being too spread out. Really appreciative of the assistance to help our kids see better from the cruise operators but while I completely understand it cant be helped on their behalf if theres nowhere to sit, I do think perhaps having that many people on the boat should be reconsidered if theres nowhere for everybody to sit comfortably. This boat is amazing and the tour is brilliant.

MINIMUM AGE ON THE CHARTER IS 12YRS OF AGE (Anyone under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian accompany them of course).
Please ensure you have checked in via the Covid Safe link sent with your confirmation or with the QR code at the departure location. We cannot depart until EVERYONE has properly checked in.
Comfortable clothing, enclosed shoes (NO BLACK SOLES & NO STILETTO HEELS PLEASE!), hat and sunglasses. Bring a rain jacket just in case. Alcohol can be purchased aboard.
NO BYO! We reserve the right to check bags and other items to ensure alcohol is not brought aboard.
You are welcome to bring your own fishing equipment if you so desire.
We recommend you bring a lunch pack with you on these longer trips as we do not supply food!
Please note that Crusader 1 is NON-SMOKING vessel.
Please note that final confirmation is subject to the actual availability of the requested charter. This is because other impacts such as phone and agent bookings, weather and other unforeseen things could impact on the true availability.

Cancellation Policy

Sunshine Coast Afloat reserves the right to cancel services due to inclement weather (generally defined as heavy precipitation creating visibility issues, extreme wind and extreme swell conditions, determined as dangerous by Sunshine Coast Afloat).
In the case of a passenger not being able to make a rescheduled date and time due to factors that make it impossible to attend such date and time a refund will be offered.
Any cancellations or ‘no shows’ made outside our listed terms and conditions will incur a 100% cancellation fee. This includes gift certificate bookings, and such tickets will be considered forfeited by passengers.
All same-day bookings are non-refundable. In such cases a credit card number must be provided to secure the booking.
All bookings for trips which are considered able to proceed (including all types of gift certificates) are non-refundable.
