5 Must-Do’s in Sydney

Situated along the southeastern coast of Australia, the New South Wales Capital of Sydney is

One of the most visited cities in the country from a tourist perspective. Also home to two iconic Australian landmarks – Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, Sydney has a lot to offer – across its natural wonders, spectacular infrastructure, rich heritage and vibrant culture.

From the vast (and almost overwhelming) number of experiences in Sydney, Amazed brings you its top 5 recommendations to make sure you get to explore and take with you the memories of only the best of the best possibilities.

1. Bondi Icebergs Pool

Located only a short bus ride away from the CBD, Bondi is one of the most famous and lively beaches in the whole of Australia. It is also where you will find the iconic Bondi Icebergs infinity pool, that creates an illusion of extending into the ocean – a site so beautiful, it hardly compares to anything else.

Even though it is part of an exclusive club, the pool is open to the public on all days except Thursday with an affordable admission price. They always have lifeguards on duty to ensure the safety of their visitors. After a refreshing swim at their magnificent pool, you can also walk into their bistro for a delicious meal and a couple of beers!

2. Bridge Climb

Get enchanted by an unparalleled view of the beautiful Sydney skyline by scaling the iconic Harbour Bridge. With multiple slots for climbs scheduled every day, you can book yourself for a time between sunrise to all the way to the sunset – capturing the beauty in one of nature’s many beautiful filters.

In groups of 6 to 8 people, you will find yourselves chained to one another all through the climb with a trained climber leading the group. Along the way, you will learn of the rich history of the bridge, catch a glimpse like no other of the Opera House and learn about its architectural inspirations, as well as have time to mingle and socialize with your fellow climbers.

3. Sydney Tower Eye

If the climbing expedition is not for you, but you’d still like to capture the beauty of Sydney’s skyline – you can always visit the Sydney Tower. It is the tallest building in the city, capturing a panoramic view of the city and beyond from a whooping 250 meters above ground level.

It is considered one of the greatest locations to view the sunset in all of Sydney. You can also sign-up for a skywalk at the Sydney Tower Eye, which includes fascinating stories and spotting various Sydney landmarks in addition to the beautiful view. Led by one of the friendly guides, you will also have access to their Skydeck before and after the walk, as well as a 4D pre-show cinema experience.

4. Manly Ferry Rides

If you’d like to be in the midst of Sydney’s iconic water bodies, we’d recommend signing up for the My Fast Ferry’s Manly Ferry Rides and taking in a beautiful view of the coastline.
