Canoeing can give you the chance to relax and unwind surrounded by striking natural landscapes.
Following a safety briefing, qualified guides will introduce participants to the techniques needed to manoeuvre successfully around the lake.
Informed staff who are passionate about local environments will combine interesting scenery with the chance of encountering local wildlife, whilst sharing stories and imparting knowledge about the area.
These sessions are great for any ability or age. We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt and deliver a great experience for anyone willing.
Please note that all minors (under 18 years of age) participating in this activity must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the activity. In the case of climbing and abseiling, participation by the parent/guardian is encouraged but not required.
Due to COVID restrictions, participants will have to provide their own transport to the session location. Sessions are typically run within 10 minutes of our shop in Halls Gap and our staff will provide you with directions upon check-in.

a month agoMyself and my partner joined our guide, Biz for a 3 hour beginner rock climbing experience and we would recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to try it out. We found it challenging and fun, Biz was a very knowledgeable and chilled guide who explained everything really well and was extremely helpful throughout. We would definitely come back again for another tour with absolute outdoors.

2 weeks agoWould definitely recommend a day of guided climbing with Absolute Outdoors. I received a voucher for an outdoor experience and the team was able to cater this to our interests as intermediate sport climbers. We had such a wonderful day of guided trad climbing with Matt, who was happy to share his local knowledge and experience with us. As we had booked during a heatwave, safety was upheld and plans negotiated to reduce risk of heat stress. They are a very professional and friendly team who clearly value looking after Gariwerd, its community and surrounds.

2 months agoWas an amazing experience to rock climb in the Grampians being a beginner. Biz was a great guide very informative. We learnt so much and he gave us tips when we struggled. Would definitely recommend this to beginners feeling safe and confident in our guide. Was a fun, challenging experience!

2 months agoHad a great experience abseiling in the Grampians. As complete beginners, we were taken through all the info to help us know exactly what to do, and how. And to feel safe trusting the equipment and our guide. Our guide was fantastic - knowledgable, low-key, laid back, friendly and helpful - it really added to our whole experience. And a bonus was that we were the only 2 participants on that session, so had as many abseils as we could handle!
