  • Overview

Located in the Moreton Bay Marine Park, Peel Island’s indigenous name Teerk Roo Ra, means “the place of many shells.” It was used as a quarantine station in the mid-19th century before passengers could move on to North Stradbroke Island.

The island once served as a leper colony. While access to the northern part of the island is restricted in an effort to preserve the historic structures, you can catch a glimpse of a shipwreck off the island where The Platypus was sunk in 1926 to form a breakwater for the jetty. This partially submerged shipwreck is also home to a rich marine life.

On this day cruise, we will sail through Moreton Bay and visit Horseshoe Bay at Peel Island. Splash around in the clear-blue waters, up your stand-up paddle boarding skills, indulge in fun beach games, relax on the aqua mat, and don’t miss out on the coolest activity on the itinerary -boom netting!

Such a great day out! Staff were awesome and so much food!!! The oysters were a stand out of course. My only criticism would be the wine list (there really wasn’t one). Plenty of everything else though😀. Thanks for making our belated Valentine’s Day xx

ARIA Cruises has been one of the most pleasurable experiences I've had on the ocean to date. Rob the owner and the deckies went above and beyond to cater for a very special day. My engagement. Rob suggested a plan, and it was executed perfectly. The food and beverage selection was more than adequate to cater for our group, and the solid on board sound system just added to the already superb atmosphere. I highly recommend ARIA cruises for all sorts of ocean going occasions. Cheers Rob and crew.

An enjoyable afternoon out on the water. 2nd time with Aria & this was our first afternoon cruise. Lunch was great, simple choices making it easy but filling. Saw sharks, dolphins & an amazing sunset.

Had the best afternoon - celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary. We were looking forward to spending a day out on the water - lunch, afternoon tea and drinks selection was great. Comfortable seating and just a great atmosphere. Lots of fun was had and we even swam. Thank you Rob and the rest of your crew for looking after us today. Definitely recommended to others. We will come back again in the future for sure. Thanks Liz and Basil

We had the best day out on the water with Aria Cruises. My boys loved every minute! from spotting a pod of whales on our way out to Peel Island then boom net riding on the ocean. My youngest got a kick from steering the boat. The lunch & afternoon tea service was great along with the beverages! Highly recommend to go on a cruise with Aria 💙🛥😍🐋🌊🌊
