Mudgee was made for ballooning! With its rolling hills, surrounding mountains and beautiful valley, conditions are perfectly suited for hot air ballooning. The spectacular Mudgee region is located 3.5 hours north-west of Sydney and 4 hours west of Newcastle and is an ideal weekend getaway location, boasting an abundance of vineyards and cellars doors, accommodation and attractions.
Our Mudgee hot air ballooning adventures begin at sunrise and are generally scheduled from Thursday through to Monday each week. Meeting centrally at Cade Kitchen in Mudgee, our balloon flights are approximately one hour in flight duration and are followed by a delicious Breakfast following the flight.
Your pilots and crew will be on hand to welcome you when you arrive at the meeting point at the designated time. Feel free to ask any questions about your flight as you sign-in. See how the pilot checks the morning’s local winds conditions and listen while he or she gives you a short flight briefing.
Note: All children aged 7 years or older that meet the Fitness to Fly requirements are able to fly provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

a month agoAn absolutely unforgettable experience that I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. Ballooning isn't a scary experience at all and Hunter Valley is a spectacular location so if you're thinking of going, do it ASAP. The guys at Balloon Aloft are extremely professional in every aspect of the process and make the whole experience go smoothly. We were in the air for a full hour and the pilot explained what we were seeing and how the balloons are operated. After landing we all helped to pack up the balloon and then went for a beautiful champagne breakfast at Peterson House. Thank you Balloon Aloft for the amazing memories.

a week agoAn excellent and amazing experience. I was very impressed by the professional, courteous and helpful staff. In particular Clay our pilot whose experience gave me great confidence. The instructions to get there were concise and the breakfast afterwards was lovely. I would highly recommend Ballons Aloft to anyone looking for a great ballooning adventure.

a month agoGreat morning out. Really worth the experience. Highly recommended but not for the faint hearted. Our flight time was 28 minutes, and we were offered another flight excluding the breakfast. We were very happy with the flight a couldn’t ask for a better experience. Our pilot, Byron made it most enjoyable. Heaps of Dad jokes and he knew what he was doing. I was kind of worried being at altitude with no engine or steering. Couldn’t getting heading and the landing strip was somewhere over there. There was, however nothing to worry about. We went from doing 30km per hour on decent to 2km per hour after a headwind kicked in and slowed us down.

a month agoIt was an interesting hot air balloon ride experience with Balloon Aloft. The service was great, every crew members were amazing! Pilot was really cool and experienced. Together with the ride, you get breakfast and pictures too! Highly recommended to try out this activity at Hunter Valley with Balloon Aloft.
